Our Staff
Pastor Henry Biar II
was born on September 28th, 1966 in Sparta,
Illinois, where he spent the first eight years of his life. Pastor
Biar's family moved to San Antonio, TX in 1975. He lived there until
he graduated from James Madison High School in 1984. He attended
Concordia University from 1984-1988 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
Degree. He then attended Concordia Seminary from 1988-1992. He
served his vicarage in the inner city Detroit, MI. Pastor Biar's first
call was to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in New Orleans, Louisiana and served
there from 1992-1994. Pastor Biar received a call to Camp Lone Star
in La Grange, Texas and served there from 1994-1997 as assistant director of
the camp, coordinator for adult and family, and resource coordinator for
single's ministry of the Texas District of the Lutheran Church Missouri
Synod. Pastor Biar received a call to start a new church in Bastrop,
Texas in September of 1997. The new church became Prince of Peace Lutheran
Church. Pastor Biar has served there until he came to Family of Christ in 2006.
