Did you know that Family of Christ sent 6 people to the LCMS 2007 National Youth Gathering in Orlando, Florida? Kat Block, Amanda Loth, Abby Pieper, Emilie Pentico, and Drew Kluge are the five high schoolers who attended and Kris Biar was the Adult leader. The LCMS sponsors a National Youth Gathering every 3 years for its teenagers. This focus statement was:
"But you are a chosen people, A royal Priesthood, A Holy Nation, A People belonging to God that you may declare the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." 1st peter 2:9 Over 30,000 people attend in order to learn more about their Savior, worship with thousands of other young people, meet other Christians their age and have tons of fun.
